Story behind the cover: WCCFL 41

The cover for the WCCFL 41 Proceedings hardback is a full printed wrap using a single image going all the way around the book. Because the wrap has to extend around the cover book boards to the inside of the cover underneath the end papers, the full cover image is even larger than what you see if you simply open the cover all the way.

The photo is from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, cropped in slightly from a processed photo of the Large Magellanic Cloud which they titled Tapestry of Blazing Starbirth. We added a semi-transparent color filter behind the front cover text to help keep the text readable.
